What we're doing now:
Premier Pet Products
Sharon: Have learned so much. Unfortunately, much of it
the hard way! Have had to face the blackness and pride of my own heart, and learn to truly
embrace the mercy and forgiveness of Jesus. What an awesome God He is, gracious and
compassionate, slow to anger and kind to all. Most influential -- "Humility" by
Andrew Murray; "Experiencing God" by Henry Blackaby; worship times alone with
Him with CDs like Hungry, Passion One Day, Darryl Evans, etc. Life verses...Isaiah
38:15-17; 26:12-14;
Sonia (15) Into horses big-time (eventing). The only thing that rivals
her equestrian expenses is her hair--one color this week, one color the next, goop by the
gallon, etc. Lots of fun and very active with youth discipleship.
Ian (13) Awesome juggler and magician. Plays Premier level soccer.
Strategic mind that's always working the angles. Loves to debate...we fear he may be a
lawyer! Extremely goal oriented, active in youth discipleship and drama.
Tyler (11) Mr. energy beyond compare. Vocabulary that beats most
English majors, sense of humor that rivals Seinfeld. Into gymnastics (where he NEVER stops
moving) and Playstation and loves to read.
Andrew (8) Our resident artist & musician. Been singing tunes since
he could talk. Always on pitch even if the words aren't right ("You've already run me
over..." by Alanis Morriset) Playing keyboard with dad.
McKeane (8) Enthralled with God's creatures. Loves animals, bugs,
snakes, any thing that moves. New pet is a Russian tortoise, "Boris." Up and
coming soccer player. Opens doors for mom when they're out alone together.
Martin: Grateful to be alive, sorry for not doing more for God with my
life. Lesson of the day: There are two ways to learn that God is right about everything -
1. Do what he says, 2. Don't do what he says. Either way brings you to the same place. The
sun that melts the ice bakes the clay. We decide which we are. I've been hard, I've been
soft. The Lord has given me great enthusiasm and vision for the future, I think to lead me
to be the person he desires so he can do what he wants. Conclusion: apart from Christ I am
a real jerk - in Christ I am a son who pleases his father. I've never been happier in my
life.
