After leaving LDM in January of 1983, I moved back to Hendersonville, NC. I worked several different jobs there and eventually learned the electrical trade. I am now an electrical contractor in Asheville, NC.

I met my wife Donna at Bent Creek Baptist Church in 1990. We were married April 20,1991. Donna had 2 children (Jonathan and Wendy) from a previous marriage. Jacob was born July 10, 1994. Then Grace was born January 22, 1997. Trai became our foster child in October 1999. We knew him and his family through our church before he joined us. We homeschool Jonathan, Wendy and Jacob.

We are actively involved in our church, New Life Community Church. I have had the privilege of participating in several short term mission trips to Honduras. Donna even got to go on one in 1993. On the last trip a Honduran asked me what my ministry was. Anticipating some answer that implied great responsibility I simply replied that I am a husband and father. I thank God that I have dedicated myself to minister to my wife and children. I see myself as the pastor of a congregation of 6.

My favorite passage would have to be Ephesians 2:8-10: "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faithóand this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God; not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are Godís workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."

Iíve had several hobbies over the years. Fishing was and still is a favorite even though I don't get to do it much anymore. I tinker with computers some, and my latest is fixing up an old car with Jonathan and Trai.

In many ways the Lord has richly blessed us over the years. I can thank Him for a wonderful wife, children, business and church home.

Larry & Gina DeGraff

Lee's Summit, Missouri

Children: Annie (13), Cynthia (11)

We left Last Days in May of '87 and moved to Kansas City where I worked for a design studio. Our second daughter Cynthia was born in '88. Finding a church was difficult. We have felt most at home in Presbyterian churches even though neither of us is of that background. There are flashier and more exciting churches, but we chose ours mostly because of how real the people are. I suppose that is a quality I've valued since Last Days.

As far as work goes, after leaving the studio I worked as a caricaturist for a sportswear company, (which due to a corporate merger included a one year relocation to New England,) and am currently an illustrator for Hallmark Cards. With the girls in school all day Gina has worked part time at a couple of nurseries (gardening) and most recently at a frame shop, but if you really want to see what she as accomplished in the last 13 years you must meet our daughters.

Annie and Cynthia will be entering 8th and 6th grade respectively which seems impossible. They are both interested in music, art and writing. They are genuinely good kids. Our favorite things to do as a family are reading books together, playing games and hiking.
