Kurt and Ramona (Gustrowski) Holland

Traskwood, Arkansas

[no photo was submitted for the booklet, but click here to see a recent one]

Hey everybody! We're doing great. We've been living in Arkansas for 9 years. Our daughter Amanda is 10 and in the 4th grade in the local small public school. Many of the teachers are Christians. Ramona substitutes and volunteers in the elementary, so she knows all the faculty and is familiar with Amanda's peers. We like it that way. Kurt has been with the same construction company since we moved here. They build a lot of big homes. We live in a small home on 5 acres in a rural area. We attend church at a Calvary Chapel that's about 5 years old. We've been a support to the pastor and wife since they moved here from California. Kurt's on the board and Ramona has helped with worship and the children's ministry.

It's a small group and we love them. We're sorry we won't be seeing you all in May. It's Ramona's parents anniversary in early June and we'll be heading that way as soon as school is out. We didn't want to try to do both trips. At least once a year, we get to see LDMers like Martin and Jane Stukenborg, Tim and Lisa Serbin, and Rich and Carol Lostritto. We cherish our memories from LDM! Kurt says, "LDM girls make the best wives!" We love you all!!! --Kurt & Ramona Holland

Connie (Anders) & Galen Hunsberger

Schwenksville, Pennsylvania

Hi everyone! Sure wish we could've made the reunion trip to catch up with all of you! Life back in Pennsylvania is hopping right along. My husband, Galen and I have four (yes, 4) children. Who would've EVER thought? Tyler; is almost 11, Colin; 8, Logan; 4, and Lanae; 2, are truly a gift from God! Three boys then a girl, miracles are still happening!

Ty and Colin enjoy playing rollerhockey, soccer and basketball. Logan plays everything they do and forgets he's only four, Lanae cheers them on (with much vigor!) and asks when their next games are! We're just waiting for the time when she will join them in the games.

Galen and I helped to start our church about 13 years ago and it has grown to about 250; we're planning to build in the next few years. We are definitely growing and God is moving among us! We are leaders of a small group that meets every other week, Galen is part of the building committee, and I have been teaching the 4 year olds Sunday School class. Last Days was such a highlight in my walk with the Lord and has been an experience I have referred back to quite often. It is quite a challenge teaching and training our children in the ways of the Lord with the world that we are living in. But it is also so rewarding to see them make their own decision to serve Him without us always reminding them!

Tyler had an opportunity to go to Honduras with Galen's father last summer on a missions trip! Aside from being extremely hot, Ty really enjoyed helping them rebuild homes that were destroyed from the Hurricanes. He made a few friends, and practiced his Spanish. But he wants to go back, so hopefully that helped to spark interest in missions.

I have found that I just love working in the kitchen! I guess I figure, I have to be making all this food anyway, why not learn to enjoy it! I can be found with my nose in the most recent cooking magazine that just came in the mail, and look out, here comes another new dish on the table! I also enjoy working in the flower garden and plant a few veggies here and there. We don't have time for our own sports hobbies anymore, but often rollerblade with the kids, or play "Pig" on the basketball court. I'm happy I can still beat my boys in a running race!

Galen is a builder for his father's company, "Hunsberger Builders." They are restoring the town of Skippack. He is really enjoying that (instead of ripping down and building new)! I was in the Real Estate business for 10 years, but after having Lanae, realized that home is where I belong. Working at nights and weekends weren't healthy for our "family time" together. That has been the best decision! I can now spend time with the kids and not feel like I should be checking out the latest interest rate or newest house on the block!

Looking forward to reading all the updates from the reunion!!  Would LOVE to hear from you!
