Priceless Memories
We all have our memories from those days at LDM. Some fond, possibly some painful, probably many unforgettable. We thought we had to take this opportunity to list a few of those more humorous memories to keep us all young.
--sleeping in 3 high bunks
--the BURN schedule
--sleeping on hardwood floors for weeks at ORU
--Keith's walk coming down the hallway
--the wagon wheel getting struck by lightning
--the mailing of "So You Wanna Go Back to Egypt"
--the auction couches
--the caravan of moving from California to Texas
--the delightful food bank items, like squid & granola with extra "bug" ingredients
--the assortment of hitchhikers that showed up at our front door (remember "Friend?")
And who can forget our agricultural achievements? If you weren't a part of LDM at the time, you need to get the scoop on...

Red leads the way in the field burning, which eventually consumed at least one tree! That's Keith on the right. |
--the infamous chicken massacre
--the tragic bull castration which led to the "penicillin" and
"non-penicillin" platters
--finding an excuse to eat homemade ice cream every night
--the potato picking day
--the horse getting stuck in the cattle guard and Keith wanting to shoot it!
--Cy (the dog) getting cancer and Keith really shooting him!
--the cows getting loose on Sunday!
--the "controlled" burning of the fields with Red Shepherd
On a more serious note, remember the following?

|
Sarah became one of the most loved calves on the planet. Some of us actually saw her birth! |
|
--the "revival" time in California
--those Friday night prayer meetings with Leonard and the Browns?
--all those Keith Bible Studies (with awesome worship times!)
--Kalafi Moala & Bruce Thompson
--the first time we met Norm Stone and Jerry Horn
And the list could go on...
We're sure you each could make your own lists
Many of us served with brothers and sisters who have gone on to be with Jesus and to them
we give honor. We can only name a few, but would imagine there may be one or two more that
we're unaware of. How can we ever forget Keith and the children? For those of us who knew
Keith, he was truly one of a kind. We miss him dearly. Don Burmeister, who in faith moved
his family of 4 and made great sacrifice to be a part of LDM. Karen Jerkins, a true
servant to the Lord, and Arnold Fishkind, one of the beginning elders when Last Days was
in it's very early stages. one day we shall see them again.
