LDM Staff (April 1987)
This photo of the LDM staff was taken about a month after a tornado tore through the LDM property, damaging most of the buildings but thankfully causing no serious injury or loss of lives. Just three months prior to the tornado, the ministry had experienced a massive exodus of personnel, leaving most of the remaining staff in a state of low morale. As a step of faith (some would say "blind faith") to counter-attack the discouragement and weariness, the "Beginning of Blessings" motto and sign was set up. Staff and students were encouraged to sign the large sign as a gesture of "sticking with it."
This photo was published in a "Special Ministry Update" published in the Spring of 1987. The update, printed on the Didde press (two colors) since the King press had been damaged, was sent out to the LDM mailing list to make them aware of what had occurred.
